In a quiet and cozy location on the outskirts of Torekov, a distinctive Skåne house dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries awaits. Here, old-world charm meets spacious living areas and a secluded garden setting that invites you to enjoy long summer days, dinners on the loggia, and relaxing moments by the pool.

The floor plan provides ample space for both family and guests, with three bathrooms, one of which includes a bathtub. The lower level features an entryway and a bathroom/guest restroom with a shower. There is a large living room with a historic fireplace and a wood-burning stove, space for multiple seating areas, and an open-concept dining area, as well as a guest room/study and a kitchen. There are several exits leading to the garden. Also on the entry level is a family room with access to a sunroom, as well as the master bedroom with beadboard paneling and a ceiling open to the ridge. Adjacent en suite bathroom. Multiple exits to the courtyard and garden. Laundry room and sauna. The upper level features two larger bedrooms and one smaller bedroom, along with a bathroom with a shower. The bright interiors are characterized by traditional materials, white-painted walls, light white-waxed pine floors, and an incredibly cozy, summery atmosphere.

Externally, you’re greeted by a beautiful white wooden house with light blue shutters, framed by a private, lush lot of approximately 1,577 square meters. The garden offers several spaces for play, relaxation, and social gatherings, with a loggia, patios, lush and flowering plantings, lawns, and a pool area that enhance the feeling of a private summer paradise. Other structures include a garage and a storage shed.

The location in Torekov offers proximity to the village’s charming atmosphere, the sea, the beach, swimming spots, harbor life, restaurants, and the scenic landscapes of the Bjäre Peninsula. It takes five minutes to cycle down to the harbor.

Description

The surroundings

Torekov is a charming old fishing village that has been home to artists since the turn of the century and to beachgoers since the 1920s. Located on the west coast of the Bjäre Peninsula, Torekov boasts beautiful waters, beaches, and rocky shores. The village is a popular summer destination with cobblestone streets and picturesque architecture. The town square in the heart of the village is a gathering place for everyone, where you can buy ice cream from the kiosk or enjoy a delicious dinner at G. Swenson. Popular shops and galleries line the village streets; there’s a grocery store and gas station just a couple of minutes away by car or 10 minutes by bike. From the small harbor, the Väderö ferry departs daily in the summer with frequent trips to Hallands Väderö, and you can buy fresh fish at the fish market in the bustling harbor.

Torekov has several lovely swimming spots, and the surrounding areas offer incredibly beautiful bike paths and walking trails through various nature reserves toward Kullen or the dramatic Hovs Hallar. On the heath, visitors can enjoy lovely walks and the fantastic views of Kullen and Hallands Väderö. For golfers, there’s a nice golf course within biking distance in Torekov, and for those interested in tennis and padel, there are also tennis and padel courts available.

Påarp, Hallavara, Kattvik, and Dalen are also just a short distance away, offering beautiful countryside walks or horseback rides, and if you’d like to buy vegetables, you can visit the many farms that sell produce right by vägen. Bäckdalens Handelsträdgård has a tomato farm and a sourdough bakery. There are fantastic restaurants in the immediate area, such as Restaurant Flora at Thora Vingård in Dalen and Magnus Nilsson’s Pensionat Furuhem in Båstad. The recreational opportunities are endless.

Båstad is a 15-minute drive away and can also be reached by bus from the village. Båstad offers all the amenities and services you need. Ängelholm Airport is just under half an hour away, and Copenhagen International Airport is only an hour and a half away by car or directly by train from Båstad Station.
