Sibyllegatan 9 - Östermalm , Stockholm
Where Östermalmstorg meets the elegant neighborhoods around Hedvig Eleonora, Hovstallet, and Strandvägen, this bright and lavish three-room penthouse awaits. Located at the very top of a beautiful building dating from 1907, this home offers a rare combination of space, light, and one of Östermalm’s most sought-after locations.
The penthouse was created when the raw attic space was converted in 2011 and has been designed with great attention to both architecture and material selection. It is open all the way to the ridge, and the generous ceiling height gives the home a remarkable sense of space, while the natural light creates a warm and airy atmosphere. The brick fireplace with its elegant angel-shaped mantelpiece is the living room’s natural focal point, adding both character and soul.
The approximately 4-square-meter terrace, facing due south, is accessible from the living area. Its open and sunny location makes the balcony a natural extension of the home during the warmer months of the year, with space for both a quiet breakfast and a drink in the afternoon sun. The remote-controlled awning provides pleasant shade when the sun is at its highest.
The kitchen is equipped with Gaggenau appliances, installed during the attic conversion in 2011 and used very sparingly. The apartment features one bathroom and a separate guest restroom, with the laundry unit discreetly placed so as not to detract from the overall aesthetic. The apartment also includes one of the building’s larger basement storage units—a highly valued and unusually valuable feature for a centrally located home. In addition, there are two smaller storage units.
The location is hard to beat. Östermalmstorg, with its market hall, restaurants, and shops, is just a few minutes away, while Hovstallet is right nearby, lending the neighborhood its distinctive historic character. Below, the grand facades of Strandvägen, the waterfront, and beautiful walking paths along Nybroviken await. Via Strandvägen , Djurgården’s greenery, culture, and recreational opportunities are just as easily accessible as the city center, the Dramaten theater, and Nybrogatan’s popular restaurants. Here, you live in the heart of the most classic part of Östermalm, with the city’s rich offerings nearby, yet in a tall, bright, and secluded setting.
The association’s garage offers excellent opportunities to secure a parking space starting on the day of move-in. Allocation is based on the association’s waiting list rules, so a space cannot be guaranteed.
A exceptionally well-planned and thoughtfully designed attic apartment with a south-facing terrace, a fireplace, and lovely high ceilings. It also offers excellent garage facilities—at one of Östermalm’s most attractive addresses, with Östermalmstorg, Hovstallet, and Strandvägen right next door.
