Since 1883, the apartment has been occupied by only three families. The previous owner, Léo Holmgren (1904–1989), was a sculptor and coin engraver. The Association

BF Östermalm is a traditional housing association that acquired the property in 1880, making it one of Stockholm’s oldest housing associations. A housing association (BF) is the predecessor to the condominium association (BRF) model, and all BF associations date back to before 1930. The association comprises28 condominium units, two commercially owned units with condominium rights, and three rental units at the addresses Grev Turegatan 56, Karlavägen , and Karlavägen . The housing association was incorporated in 1897 and owns the land outright.
