The building was designed by architect Forsberg and is a mvery beautiful and well-preserved Neo-Renaissance house. Typical of the Neo-Renaissance style were plastered and lavishly decorated facades, classical elements, and the play of light and shadow around windows and doorways. The facade at Krejaren 16 is richly decorated with pilasters, banding between apartments pediments above the windows. On many buildings from this period, the facades were later simplified by simply planing away the ornamentation; that is why it is always a pleasure to see a Neo-Renaissance building as well-preserved as this one. The entrance and stairwell are also richly decorated with, among other things, marbled wainscoting, mosaic floors, and stucco work. The opulent interior has also been very well preserved.
The property has been designated as having special cultural-historical value with the classification “Green”: A property with structures that are particularly valuable from a historical, cultural-historical, environmental, or artistic perspective.
