RENOVATION & MAINTENANCE
The building’s technical systems, such as plumbing and electrical wiring, are new and meet full
new-construction standards. The building was originally constructed in 1889 as a residential property and came into the ownership of the Salvation Army 20 years later. For 100 years, from 1910 to 2010, the building served as the Salvation Army’s
headquarters. The property was sold in 2010 to Lean Equity, which, in collaboration with Tengbom Architects, developed new floor plans for the 20 residential floors. The focus of the renovation was to restore and preserve the historic building while upgrading it to the standards expected of modern urban living.

The following rules currently apply for admission as a member of the association:

· Only individuals are accepted as members. No new legal entities are accepted. This requirement is now specified in our current bylaws.

· Approximately 50% ownership is required (e.g., for spouses or cohabiting partners), and at least one of the owners must be registered at that address.

· The buyers must intend to move into the property immediately, not in a few years' time.

This serene, exceptionally well-planned, and tastefully decorated apartment retained the charm of all its beautiful original features from that era, including high baseboards throughout, mirrored double doors, ceiling medallions and stucco moldings, deep window niches with window sills in Azul gray limestone, and white-stained pine floorboards throughout.
