Frejavägen 24 - Djursholm
Located in a sought-after area of Djursholm, this villa was designed by architect Thorsten Askergren in 1994. The house, whose exterior is reminiscent of Tuscany, underwent a lavish complete renovation in 2017 under the direction of interior designer Daniel Östman, during which all surfaces were modernized. The ground floor features spacious and elegant living areas, a stone-clad fireplace, a custom-built kitchen, a dining room, and an open-concept living room. Adjacent to the lower level is a glass-enclosed entryway that leads to a guest house with its own bathroom. The upper level features a large upper hallway that opens onto three bedrooms and two bathrooms. All furnishings are custom-designed and built specifically for the house, such as the tall, solid interior doors. The materials used are consistently exclusive. The south-facing garden features flat lawns and large, mature trees. This is an attractive location adjacent to a large green space and convenient transportation links.
Renovations
In 2004, a Rexton greenhouse made of solid oak was built.

In 2017, the ground floor and upper floor were completely renovated. The spaces were opened up, new floors were installed, doors were replaced, and the walls were painted. The upper floor was given a new floor plan. A new kitchen was installed. All wet areas were renovated. A new fireplace was installed.
On the ground floor, there is a large, welcoming entryway as well as a guest bathroom/laundry room. The entryway has stone flooring. The living area is large and spacious and consists of a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, and a kitchen in an open-concept layout. The living area has hardwood floors.
The dining area seats six to eight people; the kitchen is spacious, with light-colored cabinet fronts and a stone countertop by Bror Törner. The kitchen is equipped with appliances from Gaggenau and Miele. Adjacent to the main building is a separate wing that houses a family room, a bathroom, and a storage room. It has its own entrance.
The upper floor consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The property features an easy-to-maintain garden with a lawn and 100-year-old apple trees at the front, as well as a mostly natural slope at the back with its own sledding hill. Honeysuckle and evergreens grow on the slope. At the entrance stands a large magnolia tree and fragrant azaleas that bloom in May.
A beautiful greenhouse at the entrance with a brick foundation, made of solid oak from Rexton, is also used as a gazebo for dinners on summer evenings and during the early and late seasons.
