The surroundings

Torekov is a charming old fishing village that has been home to artists since the turn of the century and to beachgoers since the 1920s. Located on the west coast of the Bjäre Peninsula, Torekov boasts beautiful waters, beaches, and rocky shores. The village is a popular summer destination with cobblestone streets and picturesque buildings. The town square in the heart of the village is a gathering place for everyone, where you can buy ice cream from the kiosk or enjoy a delicious dinner at G. Swenson. Popular shops and galleries line the village streets, and a grocery store and gas station are within easy walking distance. From the small harbor, the Väderö ferry departs daily with frequent trips to Hallands Väderö, and you can buy fresh fish at the fish market in the bustling harbor.

Torekov has several lovely swimming spots, and the surrounding areas offer incredibly beautiful bike paths and walking trails through various nature reserves toward Kullen or the dramatic Hovs Hallar. On the heath, visitors can enjoy lovely walks and the fantastic views of Kullen and Hallands Väderö. For golfers, there’s a nice golf course within biking distance in Torekov, and for those interested in tennis and padel, there are also tennis and padel courts available.

Within a short distance, you can also reach Påarp, Hallavara, Kattvik, and Dalen for beautiful countryside walks or horseback rides, and if you’d like to buy vegetables, you can visit the many farms that sell their produce vägen. Bäckdalen’s farm stand has a tomato garden and a sourdough bakery. The recreational opportunities are endless.

Båstad is a 15-minute drive away and can also be reached by bus from the village. Båstad offers all the amenities and services you need. Ängelholm Airport is less than half an hour away, and Copenhagen International Airport is just an hour and a half away by car.
